New Release Party Announced, JJ's, Rock N Soul Wrap-up & Farewell Old Friend
We made it across the finish line! Thanks to everyone who came out for the Lady In Pink CD Release Party on Friday night. It was huge success, a great time was had by all. The party was in anticipation of the CD's official release which happens this Tuesday, May 18th. If you didn't get one at the party you can still download or order it right here.
Friday was also a sad farewell, as it marked the last show for long-time Pilgrim Road guitarist Kevin Donahue. Kevin was on a plane to Texas first thing the morning after the release party to begin a summer tour with Indigenous People and rapper Bizzy Bones. This is a tremendous opportunity and a full-time gig for Kevin, we wish him the very, very best. Thanks Kevin for your years of service in Pilgrim Road, tremendous contributions on Lady In Pink, and most importantly your friendship which we all cherish. Kevin will be missed...
...with that said, Pilgrim Road is currently auditioning for a new guitarist, prospective guitarists can e-mail us for more info.
In the meantime, don't expect the shows to slow down. Nick will play solo shows, perhaps a few with Leah Drusinsky, and even a few with a stripped down Pilgrim Road acoustic combo. The first of these will be at JJ's Corner in Frederick this Saturday, May 22 at 7PM. Stay tuned, we hope to have the new look Pilgrim Road up and running by mid-summer.
We are also thrilled to announce a second CD Release Party in Denver. Friday, June 4th at the Highlands Cork in Denver. The Cork is the former Cafe Caliente, and situated in the trendy Highlands neighborhood of Denver. This will be a special outdoor show in the Cork's courtyard, with singer/songwriter and all around good guy Sean Morse supporting. Our good friends at Strings & Wood will be presenting this show which will start at 7:30PM. See you there!
